Wallflower

£111.00

Created by: Brighton-born drummer, fine artist and Scritti Politti founder, Tom Morley.

Medium: Mixed media. Printed (to order)

Size: Unframed (50cm W by 50cm L)

The Story: “At playtime, in my primary school at Telscombe Cliffs, there was a wall that was sheltered from the wild coastal winds. On rainy days we’d huddle there sometimes doing absolutely nothing. We were happy enough, but the teacher on duty would encourage us to run around and ‘have fun’.

I’ve never quite ‘got’ the term ‘Wallflower’. This picture represents the inner world our teacher couldn’t see.

We were a vibrant bunch, simply biding our time…we had plenty of it.”
